Our Taxable Society

Ive been a silent observer of life in general, and lately my observations have been making my spirit want to just fly out of this place called civilization. Fly isnt even a good word, expadite? beam me up? i dont know what adjective to use at the moment but may find it some day.
People say " Canada is the best place on earth to live" GIVE ME A BREAK!!! we are taxed to death,, right off the top we pay 40% of the top of our pay cheque. We pay a goods and service tax, we pay extra taxes on goods we already pay taxes on such as a senceless electronics tax whcih is to be used for the desposal of electronics. How lunitical is this? Well, nothing has changed in the private sector, if you want to toss your monitor out or your TV, you toss it in your private dumpster and it goes to the general dump area. if its to big for that you put it in your truck and take it to the dump... they say at the scale, "just take it to the main pit". And this is something we pay just another tax for? There is a tax for tires, theres a tax for planning for your own retirement. Yep, get these RRSPs, for a descent tax break now, but just you wait till you retire, we are gonna ding you with more income tax when you take them out again and are old and dont have a job anymore. Not only that, we want you by the time you are reaching the 80 year mark in your life when you should be able to sit back and look at your life and smile. We the government are going to make sure you have NO investments.. thats right, you have to sell everything off so you dont leave anything such as a rental house to your kids!!! We want them to work harder then you to retire and we would rather have them be a possable strain on the pension program when they get old.. Oh yea, we heard of that, they may say, Suposedly there wont be money left in the government pockets to pay an old age pension when todays youth become senior citizens. But we dont believe it,,, ideas counter to our own like that we will just put in this file cabinet called "Under the carpet".
Oh yea, a new fee for anyone buying an SUV. Anyone wishing to buy this type of vehicle is going to be paying four thousand dollars more because of an acryonym "SUV" give me a break.
I drive a Ford F350 Diesel, most of my aquaintences drive full size trucks, alot of people still drive full size 4 door cars. So tell me, How does a Jeep type vehicle that has a 4 cylinder or even a very small 6 cylinder get piked on when it has the capacity to get upwords to 30 miles per gallon, and even more with the little 4 bangers. When all the while full size pickups, full size cars get a whoping 15 to 20 miles per gallon? ( my diesel gets considerably more thank god).
BUt where do the people get this four thousand dollar penalty from to tack on to a vehicle who is not the biggest problem for emmissions on the road, which is safer then a rice burning little sports car in most cases, not such a waste of room as a full size pickup( most buy quad cab trucks up here now) . There is a comercial now with a nurdy guy comes up to a guy at a gas station and poking at him about having an SUV and not caring about the environment. Turns out the SUV was designed to burn ethanol. but damn!!! if I was that guy and it was something like a Nisan Pathfinder, It would be all I could do to keep myself from popin him in the eye for being such a putz!!! the pathfinder gets awesome gas mileage comparative to many many different vehicles.... just because its an SUV dosnt make it the enemy... Another example of people who sit in a room thinking of something thy can do to make there non political life seem almost political. GET A REAL JOB!! Sheesh!!
